BEFORE FATHER GETS BACK (Mari Gulbiani) was part of this year's selection for gaining the status of Georgian contender film for Oscar’s. What an honor! In the selection were four more Georgian films:
“Parade” – directed by Nino Zhvania
”Inhale-Exhale” – directed by Dimitri Tsintsadze
“Neighbors” – directed by Gigi Abashidze
“Shindisi” – directed by Dimitri Tsintsadze
Last night, the special commission chose "Shindisi" for the 2019 Oscars, Academy Awards through the secret balloting. The film will be submitted for Oscar consideration in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
