What is yearning, this much conjured, uncertain and yet so present feeling? What do we long for, what are our dreams, our ideas of happiness and fulfilment? How do we deal with inner and outer boundaries and adversities that limit our personal freedom? How Do we cope with the world as it is and how do we want the world to be? What drives us?
In his sensitive documentary feature, Thomas Riedelsheimer explores the feeling of yearning in five different places in the world.
Qatar, Portugal, Mexico, Japan and Germany are the places where he encounters different people who tell him about their personal longing, their hopes, dreams, love and fears.
