The program advisory board of the ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe assembled at the Filmpunkt-offices in Cologne on 30th of March. Stefan Tolz, CEO Filmpunkt, who initiated ADAMI as project manager, discussed on how to carry on with the prize with the board members (former diplomats and media representatives).
The ADAMI Media Prize targets TV-broadcasters, movie directors, internet video artists as well as audiovisual journalists from the six countries of the Eastern European Partnership programme. Awards go to the best videos, fiction films or documentaries on issues of integration and cultural diversity. The prize is e.g. funded by the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. In December, the ADAMI Pize was awarded to four productions for the first time. The ceremony has been broadcasted live from Tiflis internationally and was hosted by Hollywood-based presenter Leila Ismailova. Since the Federal Republic of Germany holds this year's Presidency of the OSCE, ADAMI expects a particular attention for issues from the region.
